Santa Barbara Sales Club ("SB Sales Club," "we," "us") is a student organization at UC Santa Barbara. This page explains what information we collect through sbsalesclub.com and how we use it.
What we collect
When you sign up through our website, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, year, and major. We use this to manage club membership and send you meeting and event updates.
We do not sell or share your number
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your number is used solely by SB Sales Club to send you club-related text messages. We use third-party service providers (such as our email and text messaging platforms) solely to deliver those messages on our behalf, and those providers do not use your information for their own purposes.
Text and email messages
Our signup form has two separate consent checkboxes. Checking the required box means you agree to receive text messages and emails from SB Sales Club related to your signup, such as confirmations and meeting reminders. Separately checking the optional box means you also agree to receive promotional text messages and emails, such as club updates and special announcements. You can agree to one without the other. Message frequency varies but is generally no more than a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance.
